A radian is a unit that is used to measure an angle. Radians are used instead of degrees. The radian is determined by an arc of a circle. There are certain points on a unit circle that have exact radian measures. The formula for circumference is 2(pi)r, this is related to radians because the distance around a circle is 2(pi) radians. Radians relate to degrees because they are both used to measure the same thing, and they can be converted to each other. I prefer degrees because I think that is easier to use. I think radians are more mathematically “pure”.
