From doing this activity I learned the difference between an even and odd function, and what makes them even and odd. They are similar because you can tell just by looking at the symmetry on a graph if it is even or odd. They are different because the even functions have symmetry and the odd graphs do not. To check if a function is even or odd you can use the given rules; for an even function for every -x value f(-x)=f(x), and for odd for every -x value f(-x)=-f(x). There are no families of functions that are Always even or odd.
