SSA is considered ambiguous because there can be a different amount of triangles possible depending on the measurements given. You can’t apply the law of sines to the given information because you don't know how many solutions there will be.
From doing this activity I learned how to find different trig functions without using a calculator I learned how to use the special right triangles better. I was able to connect the x and y axis with sin and cos and slope with tan. This helped me make connections between graphs of trig functions and the unit circle because you can use the unit circle to determine where to graph certain values. During the assessment portion I liked having the teacher there to affirm my reasoning because then I knew if I was right or wrong.
A radian is a unit that is used to measure an angle. Radians are used instead of degrees. The radian is determined by an arc of a circle. There are certain points on a unit circle that have exact radian measures. The formula for circumference is 2(pi)r, this is related to radians because the distance around a circle is 2(pi) radians. Radians relate to degrees because they are both used to measure the same thing, and they can be converted to each other. I prefer degrees because I think that is easier to use. I think radians are more mathematically “pure”.
Interest and loans. A = P (1 + r/n) ^ nt A = the future value of the investment/loan, including interest P = the principal investment amount (the initial deposit or loan amount) r = the annual interest rate (decimal) n = the number of times that interest is compounded per year t = the number of years the money is invested or borrowed for The interest rate is the cost of borrowing money, and is usually a percentage of the loan that is added to the amount you borrow. The higher your interest rate, the more you'll owe over time.Subsidized and unsubsidized loans are federal student loans for eligible students to help cover the cost of higher education at a four-year college or university, community college, or trade, career, or technical school. The U.S. Department of Education offers eligible students at participating schools Direct Subsidized Loans and Direct Unsubsidized Loans. (Some people refer to these loans as Stafford Loans or Direct Stafford Loans.)Credit union loans are among the most competitive loans available. They typically come with low rates and fees, which means a lower overall cost of borrowing.A bank loan is the most common form of loan capital for a business. A bank loan provides medium or long-term finance. The bank sets the fixed period over which the loan is provided (e.g. 3, 5 or 10 years), the rate of interest and the timing and amount of repayments. 5000 dollars per year for four years. That would give you a total of 20,000 dollars that you need to pay back. 20000(1+.03/1)^1/15 and you wanted to pay that off over the time span of 15 years then you would need to make monthly payments of $138.12.
Folding to the moon. It would take 43 folds in halfs for the top of the stack to reach the moon. This is unrealistic because a piece of paper would not be able to be folded in half that many times, The width of the piece of paper would be the original width of the paper to the -43 power. I really don’t think that matters. From doing this activity I learned the difference between an even and odd function, and what makes them even and odd. They are similar because you can tell just by looking at the symmetry on a graph if it is even or odd. They are different because the even functions have symmetry and the odd graphs do not. To check if a function is even or odd you can use the given rules; for an even function for every -x value f(-x)=f(x), and for odd for every -x value f(-x)=-f(x). There are no families of functions that are Always even or odd.
This functions appears to follow an exponential growth. The domain of this function is x is greater than or equal to zero. The range of this function is Y is greater than or equal to zero. In 2013 the Itunes sales started to fall. This doesn’t affect my domain and range predictions. There is a problem trying to extend the data in a continuous function, because it does not continue in the same way.
I think that the basketball will go into the hoop because the function shows that the line will go through to make a basket. |
